Who knew that working in a gold mine would be such a wacky fun job? First of all, you've got infinite picks to throw. How cool is that? And then there's the almost limitless gold. Huge bricks too! Oh, but you are on a tight schedule. And there is the problem of the mine collapsing. But all in all, video game gold mines are way cooler then the real thing.

How To Play Gold Strike

You are a miner, looking to score points by finding gold. Click on a block of rock or gold to throw a pick ax at it. If two or more blocks of the same type are connected, all of the connected blocks will be removed. You are awarded points for gold blocks, or blocks with special objects in them. Your score for gold blocks depends on how many blocks are in the group. Occasionally, the mine will shake and the blocks will move forward. New blocks will drop from above. Keep the blocks from filling the mine. If you can keep the blocks from filling the mine before the end of the level, you'll score a bonus for each empty column and can move on to the next level. To maximize your score, wait until larger groups of gold form before throwing your ax.

I get so mad when playing a high level with a very good score and a slightly astray mouse click moves me to an ad and my game is lost. Can\'t you have the ads open in a different window????????

pause would be great. also, from about level 7 the blocks speed up but won\'t let me zap them as fast as they move across towards the end. very frustrating! maybe it\'s to do with my connection??

addictive game, but needs a pause button and ads need to be further away as sometimes the cursor accidently clicks on an ad and there goes my game. grr very frustrating. regardless it is a good game to de-stress with.

Add Pause at the very least! Also, a beep or something to warn you that you have reached the end of a level. For fun, add music or sound to make it feel more tense when you are running out of space.

yep, we need to be able to pause and save. Sometimes mealtimes or phone calls can ruin a good potential score

Ihis game is awesome ,but I wish you can play without geti\'n out so that when you get,you can play the same level.My mom get to level 10 before I get up to level 6 before . Thats why Ilove goldstrik

It would be great if the ads were about a half inch further to the left of the board. nothing more frustrating than being wraped up in a good game and accidently opening an ad site.

i like the game but i wish that they would put some more game like this one to play and also i wish that it would not get so fast when you get higher up on the game.

IC, I do I\'ve had 6 - 2X\'s on a huge gold block. My high is over 500K. It would make more sense to rely on skill and strategy as much as luck, but unfortunately there\'s more luck than anything else as far as scoring goes.

One should be able to earn blocks for placement from time to time. Silver and Red special blocks should exponentiate in execution. 1=100, 2=1000, 3=10000, etc.

It would be good if you could decide which level to start on - it can be frustrating working through the lower levels to get to the real challenge
